Uds. saben que desde hace muchos años venimos trabajando en temas "positivos", que tienen que ver con nuestra sociedad, que tienen que ver con las buenas cosas, que se realizan aquí en nuestra República Oriental del Uruguay y que están siendo difundidas a través del mundo, aquí tenemos una estadística que nos llega desde los EE.UU., donde ya tenemos 40 Países con cifras muy importantes, donde llega esta cobertura periodística, que lo decimos con orgullo Estados Unidos es el segundo País que encabeza ésta estadística.

Hoy tenemos para desarrollar un tema muy importante, que tiene que ver con la temática de la mujer, lo que se denomina " 1.000 Mujeres para el Premio Nóbel de la Paz 2005", por eso invitamos hoy a un desayuno mediante el cual la Sra. Arq. Charna Furman, nos dará a conocer los detalles de un evento que tendrá lugar en Uruguay, mediante el cual se elegirán a dos mujeres uruguayas, que participar, buenos dias . . . un placer que éste con nosotros

R_ Buenos días, el placer es mío de estar en éste prestigioso Programa, y poder difundir ésta iniciativa que se inicio en Suiza, y que hoy ya se esta llevando en todo el mundo, a través de regionales y nacionales

P_ ¿En éste caso cual es el rol de Uds. en éste País?

R_ Bueno, mi rol en nuestro País es el de poder convocar a todas aquella personas, organizaciones, que estén dispuestas a nominar a "una mujer" para integrar estas 1.000 Mujeres de la Paz 2005.

P_ Nos comentabas, que esto se inicio en Suiza, ¿pero como se viene realizando hasta ahora?

R_ Bueno hasta mi llegó ésta propuesta de trabajar en éste tema, a fines del año pasado, del 2003, y desde entonces, estoy convocando a las Organizaciones, a las personas, Organizaciones de Mujeres, Organizaciones Barriales, Religiosas, etc., a nominar mujeres que cumplan con los perfiles que definen a lo que llamamos "mujeres de paz"

P_ Furman, una de las cosas importante es que ésta Realización y ésta Nominación, esta recorriendo el Mundo, por que se esta haciendo en muchos Países ¿como se integran todos a la organización?

R_ Si, Wáshington, es así se trata de buscar a 1.000 Mujeres "que representen a todo el Mundo", es de esperar que estén muchos Países representados... su gran mayoría, por ejemplo tengo conocimiento de varios Países en América Latina hay compañeras como yo que están en ésta aventura, que lo que yo estoy haciendo en Uruguay ellas lo están haciendo en sus Países

P_ En el comienzo de lo que es éste trabajo de búsqueda, de perfiles, por supuesto que los diferentes Países a veces crean perfiles diferentes, en el caso de Uruguay ¿cual es el perfil que se busca?

R_ Nosotros hemos llegado a la conclusión de que dada la situación de nuestro País, que por suerte no estamos en guerra, y esto me lleva a referir ésta definición de paz, que tiene ésta organización mas amplia, es decir no solo la paz, como ausencia de guerra, sino que es la paz en un concepto mas integral, una paz libre de violencia, de pobreza, de exclusión, de discriminación y respetuosa de los derechos humanos, en ese sentido para nuestro País es muy importante, el trabajo que realizan mujeres a veces anónimamente en sus barrios, en sus comunidades, hacen para defender éstos derechos que mencionamos y trabajando contra éstos "flagelos" que nos azotan, la crisis que nos azota, que ha llevado a la extrema pobreza a muchas familia, especialmente a niños y mujeres como lo estamos viviendo en nuestra historia nuestra historia reciente

P_ Una de las cosas Charna, creo importante marcar una diferencia, dentro de lo que va a ser esa elección, ya que van a ver "algunas personas" que van a tener una cierta ventaja, es decir aquellas que ya "tienen cierta edad", que han podido realizar mas cosas en su vida, frente a las otras mas jóvenes, y que no han tenido "una mayor trayectoria", ¿no?

R_ Si Wáshington, muy buena tu observación, desde ese punto de vista si, es como tu dices, si es una mujer de muchos años, se suman mas acciones, si pero de todas la nominadas se van a seleccionar dos, que es el cupo que nos corresponde como País, dentro de esas 1.000, y se van a recomendar "dos o tres mas", para que por cualquier cosa puedan suplir a las dos "iniciales", las van a seleccionar un jurado nacional, integrado por "5 mujeres", que representan distintas organizaciones y organismos Nacionales e Internacionales, surgiendo de allí las que nos representen

P_ Hablando, Furman, de esos perfiles de éste caso de la República Oriental del Uruguay, ¿cuales son los recomendados para tener en cuenta?

R_ Bueno Wáshington, los voy a remarcar, "mujeres que trabajan, fuera de su hogar, para los demás", por ejemplo ese es una, las mujeres que trabajan para mejorar la vida de los demás, para alimentar, para curar, para educar, a los que están pasando malos momentos, que fundamentalmente se esta dando en niños y mujeres, muchas madre jóvenes, madres adolescentes y por otro lado las mujeres que están buscando "la verdad", de forma muy pacífica, con métodos de paz, buscando no incurrir en errores del pasado.

P_ En éste caso hay parámetros como por ejemplo con edades ¿tienen que ser personas mayores de edad?, por que puede haber por ejemplo un niño, por su buena acción, acá en el Uruguay, como el de nuestro interior el caso de "Dionisio, tan conocido". . .

R_ Pero no es mujer . . .

P_ . . . es cierto, lo mencionamos, como ejemplo . . . ¿en éste caso hay algún límite?

R_ No Wáshington, no hay ni mínimo, ni máximo, la única condición de esa persona para ser nominada al Premio Nóbel de la Paz, es que este con vida, ese es el único límite y dentro de éstos perfiles que estamos buscando, que hay muchísimas mujeres, estamos seguras, conocidas y no conocidas, algunas que han sido visibilizadas por sus tareas, y otras que permanecen trabajando sin que nadie se entere, bueno éste "jurado" de forma muy transparente, van a seleccionar las 2 (dos) que nos van a representar, ese es nuestro objetivo en éste momento

P_ Nosotros estamos trabajando con la Organización de nivel Internacional, "Federación Internacional e Interreligiosa para la Paz Mundial" con representación en 186 Países en el Mundo, esta Organización esta también en contacto con algo que se realiza en Uruguay que se denomina "Premios Diamante de la Sociedad", que se lleva a cabo en el Radisson, con presencia de miles de participantes donde apreciamos "increíblemente" las personas mas premiadas y aquellas que son de relevancia, son "casi desconocidas", que trabajan en una pequeña congregación, en un modesto comedor, que dedican parte de su vida a estas ayudas a la sociedad, se da el caso de que esas personas en su comunidad son realmente muy queridas, muy apreciadas, pero fuera de ellas "no se conoce ni el nombre"

R_ Justamente, eso es lo que estamos buscando, porque creemos que las mujeres a través de esas acciones estamos contribuyendo a preservar la paz, y esa forma es que estas historias de vida, ilustradas, fotografiadas, filmadas, etc.,, sed van a transmitir, van a ser conocidas en le Mundo, van a ser conocidas por investigadoras universitarias, que en Europa están muy interesadas, en ese aporte que las mujeres podemos hacer a la paz

P_ Nosotros vamos a tener nuevamente la presencia de la Arq. Charna Furman, para conocer como se continúan desarrollando estos acontecimiento, por que hoy específicamente queríamos tener las bases del evento, por ello le solicitamos nos comunique ¿como se inscriben, como llegan a Uds. una dirección de correo, un teléfono, para ello?

P_ Esas son las dos formas, de que las personas pueden comunicarse, para conseguir datos llegan a Uds., pero a su vez, luego como sigue ello, ¿después que le llegan los datos a Uds.?

R_ Bueno, a vuelta de correo se les va a enviar el formulario que es un poco complejo, por que la vida de "una mujer así" deben de tener mucho tipo de actividades y mucho que escribir, "hay que defender a la candidata", o sea hay que demostrar todo lo que ha hecho, tiene que llenar datos de esa persona, de la que nomina y dos testigos que avalen lo que se esta diciendo allí

P_ Nosotros agradecemos a la Arq. Charna Furman, y comentarnos como es la búsqueda de éstas dos personas, que van a ser nuestras representativas en el Mundo, cosa que nos llena de orgullo, siempre que hay representantes nacionales, tenemos que lucir un día "esa buena camiseta celeste", no solo para el deporte, sino como en éste caso a todo tipo de actividades, defenderlos nosotros mismos y ante el mundo a nuestros representantes, que tenga conceptos de nuestra sociedad, en temas nacionales e internacionales.
